Pear cut alexandrite necklace
Sterling silver necklace with pear cut synthetic alexandrite. The setting has an open back which allows light to pass through the stone and enhance the beauty and colour of the stone.
Alexandrite is the traditional birth stone for June and it has colour changing properties. The stone can appear anywhere between a deep crimson and dark purple depending on whether is it viewed in artificial light or natural sunlight.
Synthetic stones are ‘real’, they have the same look, chemical composition and properties as mined stones - the only difference is that they have been created in a Laboratory. Synthetic stones are a great alternative for those of us who are concerned about the environmental and ethical cost of mining for gemstones.
The Pendant is 18mm high and will come on an 18”/45cm sterling silver chain unless instructed otherwise (16”/40cm and 20”/50cm chains are also available).
Items in the sample sale are perfect and are of the usual, expected high quality. Sample sale pieces are items that are not part of my standard collection and have been made as a result of trying out new designs or to illustrate a product or style to customers. All items in the sample sale are one-off, unique pieces.
This piece comes presented in a card giftbox, along with an organic cotton storage pouch and polishing cloth. Cleaning instructions are provided with the polishing cloth to enable you to keep your jewellery in the best condition.
